Domenica 31 gennaio alle ore 17,15 i giovani si ritrovano, con il parroco e gli adulti, nella sala della marina per un momento di riflessione e preghiera per la loro amica Ilenia che, dopo il terribile incidente del mese di luglio del 2008, dà segni di un lento ma costante miglioramento.
Segnaliamo i testi della Sacra Scrittura che saranno proclamati durante la preghiera:
Genesi 50, 15-21
15 I fratelli di Giuseppe, quando videro che il loro padre era morto, dissero: «Chi sa se Giuseppe non ci porterà odio e non ci renderà tutto il male che gli abbiamo fatto?» 16 Perciò mandarono a dire a Giuseppe: «Tuo padre, prima di morire, diede quest’ordine: 17 “Dite così a Giuseppe: Perdona ora ai tuoi fratelli il loro misfatto e il loro peccato; perché ti hanno fatto del male”. Ti prego, perdona dunque ora il misfatto dei servi del Dio di tuo padre!» Giuseppe, quando gli parlarono così, pianse. 18 I suoi fratelli vennero anch’essi, si inchinarono ai suoi piedi e dissero: «Ecco, siamo tuoi servi». 19 Giuseppe disse loro: «Non temete. Sono io forse al posto di Dio? 20 Voi avevate pensato del male contro di me, ma Dio ha pensato di convertirlo in bene per compiere quello che oggi avviene: per conservare in vita un popolo numeroso. 21 Ora dunque non temete. Io provvederò al sostentamento per voi e i vostri figli». Così li confortò e parlò al loro cuore.
Marco 8, 31-38
31 Poi cominciò a insegnare loro che era necessario che il Figlio dell’uomo soffrisse molte cose, fosse respinto dagli anziani, dai capi dei sacerdoti, dagli scribi, e fosse ucciso e dopo tre giorni risuscitasse. 32 Diceva queste cose apertamente. Pietro lo prese da parte e cominciò a rimproverarlo. 33 Ma Gesù si voltò e, guardando i suoi discepoli, rimproverò Pietro dicendo: «Vattene via da me, Satana! Tu non hai il senso delle cose di Dio, ma delle cose degli uomini».
34 Chiamata a sé la folla con i suoi discepoli, disse loro: «Se uno vuol venire dietro a me, rinunci a se stesso, prenda la sua croce e mi segua. 35 Perché chi vorrà salvare la sua vita, la perderà; ma chi perderà la sua vita per amor mio e del vangelo, la salverà. 36 E che giova all’uomo se guadagna tutto il mondo e perde l’anima sua? 37 Infatti, che darebbe l’uomo in cambio della sua anima? 38 Perché se uno si sarà vergognato di me e delle mie parole in questa generazione adultera e peccatrice, anche il Figlio dell’uomo si vergognerà di lui quando verrà nella gloria del Padre suo con i santi angeli».
